Can you find something that says she wasn't israelite? She *could*
have been israelite. It isn't proven she wasn't.
From other evidence lots of hittites had red hair while it was
apparently a rarity in israel. But that isn't proof.
If it's im****tant for Susan to believe that David's mother was an
israelite, she has that option. If you don't want to take it on faith,
it should be an open question for you, not a certainty that she's
wrong. She could easily be right by accident, without evidence.

Does the king****p go by tribal lineage? If so, it's through the
father. But from my reading it looks like the king****p went to whoever
could take it, and having a king for a father was a help but not
nearly enough.
