TUG 2008 Call for Papers
The 2008 annual meeting of the TeX Users Group
takes place in University College Cork, Ireland,
on 21-24 July 2008.
Proposals for presentations and workshops are welcomed
on any topic of interest to TeX users, including (but
not limited to):
* TeX, LaTeX, ConTeXt, and related software
* Typography and do***ent design
* Interfaces (editors and viewers)
* Digital and electronic publi****ng
* Mathematical and specialist typesetting
* Presentation vs content
* Web, media, and hypertext
* Do***ent structure and semantics
* Educational technology and learning sup****t systems
The official language of the conference is English.

SUBMISSION OF PAPERS FOR PRESENTATION
Abstracts for presentations must be submitted
in one of the following formats:
* LaTeX or AMS-LaTeX article (ltugproc do***ent class
(www.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/tugboat/)
* Plain TeX file
* Plaintext file
* Open Do***ent Format (ODF, eg OpenOffice), WordML, OOXML,
or another common XML format
Please do not send proprietary binary do***ents like .doc files.
Please submit your Abstract by one of the following methods:
* by email attachment to tug2008@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
* by using the dropbox at http://www.udel.edu/dropbox
(give the email address tug2008@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
)
* by using the form provided at http://tug2008.ucc.ie/call
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Program Committee on the basis
of technical quality, originality, clarity and relevance. The
full version of accepted papers must follow TUG Proceedings
(ltugproc) guidelines (see http://tug.org/TUGboat/location.html
Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings
as a special issue of TUGboat.
At least one author of each paper must be registered and attend
the conference to present the paper.
SUBMISSION OF WORKSHOP PROPOSALS
Proposals for workshops must be submitted to the conference
address (tug2008@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
) in plaintext, plain TeX, or LaTeX
format only. Proposals should state the following:
* Title of the workshop
* Objectives
* Synopsis of topics covered
* Audience likely to attend
* Duration
* Names and details of presenters
* Facilities required
