There is three quotes:
1. "It is a proud and lonely thing to be a fan." Robert Bloch, "A Way
of Life", 1956
2. "It is a proud and lonely thing to be a stainless steel rat" Harry
Harrison, "The Stainless Steel Rat", 1957
3. "It is a proud and lonely thing to be a stainless steel leech" Roger
Zelazny (as Harrison Denmark), "The Stainless Steel Leech", 1963
Did they quote one another? Or did they have a common source?
How about Harrisone influence on Zelazny? Does "Harrison Denmark" mean
"danish Harry Harrison"?
