Recommendations?

by darkly <darkly@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 22, 2008 at 07:11 AM

Can anyone recommend a (preferrably living) author with a similar genre to
PDK?

Thomas Ligiotti, but he seems to do only short stories, and is more in the
Kafka/Lovecraft mold. But he does the Ubiqesque twisted realities, albeit
without the depth or purpose of PDK, perhaps because he is bent toward
horror.

PDK can leave the scifi props in the background, and drive the story with
conversation and clever exposition; none of that cyberpunkish action
driven
zen-with-guns stuff that's polluting scifi in general.

I got deep into Dick last year and have plowed through everything I could
lay
my greedy eyes on. Time is short - my PDK is running out! :O

Any suggestions appreciated!
