Keep in mind that it is not uncommon for someone to post spam that
appears to be coming from someone else, with the deliberate intent of
getting people to retaliate against the person who is apparantly the
source. I'd love to have an effective anti-spam weapon, but retaliation
without an in-depth investigation often hurts the innocent.
Unfortunately, investigating a complaint in sufficient detail to be
fair to the accused isn't cheap, so it's seldom actually done,
rendering that approach ineffective, also.
