Re: James Joyce: current reading & future plans

by figaro <figaro@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 7, 2005 at 07:58 PM

I just subscribed to this newsgroup. I am a big Joyce fan and short
stories
are my favorite media.

My question-- I bought a copy of Finnegan's Wake many, many years ago,
before internet newsgroups, and ended up giving it to a library because I
was totally baffled by it. I wish I had a newgroup to consult back then.

If I purchase another copy, will somebody here be able to help me make
sense
of it? Is there some sort of "sup****t" group for Joyce lovers who are
trying to tackle his more difficult works? I like this guy's brain and I
would really like to understand more of his genius.
