I'm looking for something that he said once, and I think it was in one of
his editorials in the magazine.
But, he was lamenting the fact that our political system had gotten to the
point that it was being decided by the lowest common denominator and he
opined that it might be good to give everyone one vote, but that you could
earn additional votes by passing a political awareness test, and maybe
another one by getting a college degree, a higher degree might get another
one, etc., with a max cap that he suggested as 10, but just for the sake
of
discussion.
However, he also opined that while he thought this might be more fair, it
would be detrimental in that being an avowed liberal, his experience
showed
that most well educated people were conservative.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.
